Police Hail ‘Isle of Wight Ring of Steel’ a Success.

Island Pulse Island Police Ring of SteelA ‘Ring of Steel’ initiative targeting drink and drugs driving on the Isle of Wight in the run-up to Christmas has been hailed a success.
The operation involved officers from the Dog Support Unit and Roads Policing Unit, as well as the Probationer Development Unit, Safer Neighbourhoods teams, PCSOs and Special Constables.

Island Pulse Happy New year Recycling on the Isle of Wight

The Isle of Wight Council is responsible for the collection, recycling and disposal of household waste from residents of the Island.  Through recycling, composting and the Resource Recovery Facility, approximately half of the Islands domestic waste is diverted from landfill.
