Safe Halloween Fun.

Advice for Parents:
Never let them go trick or treating on their own, make sure you accompany them and only allow them to visit people you know.

Make sure they don’t have access to fireworks, alcohol, eggs or flour and explain why they must not play tricks on strangers.  (more…)

Northerly Blast Bringing Colder Weather.

The Met Office the UK’s National Weather Service have announced temperature figures for October 2006 show that the month is likely to end at least 2C above the long-term average, according to preliminary Met Office data. 

However, a change in the month will bring a change in the weather, with Met Office forecasters predicting much colder weather to sweep across the whole country through this week.  (more…)

A “great time” was had by everyone we spoke to that attended the White Air Extreme Sports Festival 2006 and not least for our own Team Island Pulse intrepid reporter LJ, who on the final day was well into the “Have a Go” sessions courtesy of Yaverland Sailing and Boat Club and the Thundercat Racing Team.
